Review of BCRS/TAEFL February Breakfast Seminar

A breakfast seminar focussed on business finance continues to increase in popularity, as the most recent event secured bookings from over 30 business professionals.

Following two previously successful breakfast seminars last year, hosts BCRS Business Loans and Trade and Export Finance Limited announced that a third event would take place on Wednesday 3rd February.

Delegates were welcomed into the seminar with a complimentary light breakfast, hot/cold refreshments and half an hour of networking, followed by presentations and a final opportunity to build relationships with fellow delegates before leaving.

Entitled ‘Developments in the Peer 2 Peer Lending Market’, the event welcomed Steve Grice of Ludgate Finance as guest speaker and was held at Aston Cross Business Village – only a short distance from Birmingham City Centre.

Featuring speaking sessions from Christine Sims and Lakhbir Singh of BCRS Business Loans and Mark Runiewicz of Trade & Export Finance Limited, a number of non-bank lending solutions were explained to delegates, including joint case studies and a Q&A session.

Peer 2 Peer lending is a relatively new phenomenon in the finance sector, with many people still curious as to how the platforms work. Steve Grice was on hand to answer all of these queries, by providing a presentation that detailed everything from the background and processes of crowd-lending platforms, right through to its future prospects.

Christine Sims, Regional Manager of BCRS Business Loans, said: “It’s great to see that this event is becoming increasingly popular, as many people are obviously curious about the various forms of non-bank funding that are available to fuel the growth of businesses in the West Midlands.”

Lakhbir Singh, Regional Manager at BCRS Business Loans, also commended the success of this event. “Unlike several breakfast seminars that start incredibly early, we don’t ask guests to arrive until 8:00am with seminar presentations from 8:30, which made it much less of a chore for our guests. I would like to thank everyone that came along to this event, and if you are unable to provide finance to a business, please don’t hesitate to contact us as we may be able to help them.”

For the next event, which will take place on Wednesday 6th April, we will have new presentations from BCRS Business Loans and Trade and Export Finance and another guest speaker from Platform Black.
