Review: BCRS-TAEFL Breakfast Funding Seminar

A Birmingham breakfast seminar, organised by two of the leading sources of non-bank lending in the West Midlands, secured an excellent turnout.

Following a successful inaugural breakfast seminar in September, BCRS Business Loans and Trade & Export Finance Limited joined forces once again to host a networking event in a convenient Birmingham location.

This time the breakfast seminar was entitled ‘Funding Businesses When the Computer Says “No!” and featured speaking sessions from Christine Sims and Lakhbir Singh of BCRS Business Loans, Mark Runiewicz of Trade & Export Finance Limited and, guest speaker, Angus Dent of ArchOver.

The event attracted the attendance of over 20 business professionals, who were eager to network with fellow guests over a light breakfast and understand the important role that non-bank lending plays in bridging the finance gap for many businesses.

The speaking sessions explained a number of different financial solutions available to SMEs that are unable to secure finance from mainstream lenders; demonstrated using recent case studies and a Q&A session.

Lakhbir Singh, Regional Manager at BCRS Business Loans, said “I was delighted to see so many people at this breakfast seminar – clearly a lot of people are interested in the success of our organisation and how we are supporting businesses across the Midlands with finance.

“Unlike several breakfast seminars that start incredibly early, we didn’t ask guests to arrive until 8:00am with seminar presentations from 8:30, which made it much less of a chore for our guests.”

Christine Sims, Regional Manager at BCRS Business Loans, also commended the success of this event. “I would like to thank everyone that came along to this event, it was great to see so many fellow business professionals – both familiar faces and new ones.

“The team at BCRS Business Loans are committed to supporting SMEs with finance, so if you are unable to provide finance to a business, please don’t hesitate to contact us as we may be able to help them.”
