BCRS Business Loans has appointed two new Business Development Managers to meet the demand for finance from local businesses unable to get bank loans.
Christine Liggins and Kathy Poole have joined the nine-strong BCRS team at its Wolverhampton Science Park head office to support the increasing number of businesses looking for access to finance.
Christine Liggins joins BCRS following a career in commercial banking and brings with her a wealth of experience of lending to businesses. On her appointment Christine commented, “I’ve always had a passion for lending money to businesses and found it the most rewarding part of my roles that I have held previously in the commercial banking sector.
“I also thoroughly enjoy customer contact. I like to help people and I like to help businesses. BCRS has an excellent reputation with an ethical approach to lending which sees them put their clients at the forefront. Before BCRS make a decision on a client, we look at how their business is placed in the economic sector, then at the management and how they perform, at their trading cycle, their strengths, weaknesses and threats. Unless you look closely at the background of a company, the figures alone don’t mean anything.
“For me, joining BCRS was an easy decision as I believe I fit in well with the company’s philosophy and culture,” Christine concludes.
Christine’s banking experience includes operational administration, commercial lending and strategic projects.
Kathy Poole joins BCRS following a diverse career in the banking and finance industry. Kathy will be drawing upon her extensive knowledge to promote BCRS’s established capabilities in providing financial help to businesses who are unable to access finance from traditional sources such as banks.
“I’m delighted to be joining BCRS. I am looking forward to coming into contact with all kinds of businesses, from start-up to established, and as we have money to lend I’m looking forward to assisting local businesses in their quest for growth and prosperity, said Kathy.
“The past few years have been very tough on the SME sector. BCRS is an organisation with a clear vision and a drive to assist SME’s in developing their businesses. I find this an exciting prospect and my position with BCRS represents a wonderful opportunity to make a positive impact on the local business community during what remains a continuing and challenging economic climate.”
Paul Kalinauckas, Chief Executive of BCRS, said; “We are very pleased to add another two experienced people to our growing team. “We are excited about our new structure, which demonstrates BCRS’s commitment to growth and the non-bank lending market as a whole. Our new appointments will help shape and direct the organisation’s growth plans and we look forward to benefiting from the insight and experience that they will bring to BCRS now and into the future.”
