BCRS Business Loans announces Dudley Stroke Association as Charity of the Year

BCRS Business Loans has announced Dudley Stroke Association as their Charity of the Year for 2026/27.

Dudley Stroke Association supports people, their families and carers who have had a stroke. Their vision is to create a borough where stroke survivors are supported and able to live fulfilled and independent lives.

The organisation provides vital family and carer support services, including networking groups such as wellbeing walks, online groups, lunch clubs and exercise sessions.

The partnership will see the BCRS team take part in a wide range of fundraising activities throughout the year, from sponsored challenges to charity events.

As part of their year-long fundraising programme, BCRS Business Loans will be hosting a glittering Charity Ball on Friday October 16th from 7pm until midnight at Grand Station in Wolverhampton.

Guests will be treated to a three-course meal, live entertainment, and fundraising activities, all to raise vital funds for the Dudley Stroke Association.

BCRS Business Loans chief executive Stephen Deakin said:

“Dudley Stroke Association does invaluable work supporting stroke survivors and their families across the borough. Their commitment to raising awareness and prevention aligns with our values of supporting our community.

“We are delighted to partner with Dudley Stroke Association as our Charity of the Year. Through our fundraising activities and Charity Ball, we hope to help them continue their vital work and make a real difference to the lives of those affected by stroke. This partnership exemplifies how businesses can work together with charities to create meaningful change in our local communities.”

Dudley Stroke Association stroke awareness and prevention co-ordinator Louise Brookes said:

“BCRS support means so much to DSA – not only to our organisation, but to the individuals and communities we serve. Partnerships like this enable us to continue our vital work and make a real, lasting difference. We are truly excited to work together over the coming year on awareness around strokes.

“Our message is ‘Act BEFAST’, because every second counts. By recognising the signs of a stroke early, you don’t just raise awareness, you give someone the chance to survive and recover.”

BCRS Business Loans raised over £5,000 for Kids’ Village, their 2025/26 charity of the year. The funds will help the charity establish the UK’s first holiday village offering respite for children and families facing critical illness.

BCRS Business Loans provides funding to businesses that are struggling to access finance from traditional lenders. Businesses can secure loans from between £10,000 and £250,000 from BCRS Business Loans to support growth and recovery plans.
