BCRS Business Loans is shortlisted for prestigious awards

BCRS Business Loans receives confirmation that it has been shortlisted for three prestigious industry awards.

BCRS, a leader in supporting businesses that have been over-looked by traditional lenders, will be attending the 2016 Citi Microentrepreneurship Awards on Tuesday 28th March to discover if they are crowned winners.

Paul Kalinauckas, chief executive of BCRS Business Loans, said: “We are delighted and humbled to have been shortlisted for three awards, which is testament to the hard work and dedication of the whole team.

“We have been shortlisted in the following categories: Outstanding Customer Service, Outstanding Loan Officer with Wesley Lovett and Social Entrepreneur with Rosie Ginday; the managing director of Miss Macaroon which has grown substantially since securing a loan from BCRS last year.

“We work hard to ensure that our clients feel supported throughout the loan process. With a relationship-based approach to lending and a dedicated loan officer for each area, we ensure it is a straightforward procedure. A staggering 9 out of 10 customers were happy with the support they received.

“As part of this attention to detail we also ensure that our loan officers have relevant, up-to-date business knowledge to offer a unique level of support throughout the application process, which is why Wesley stood out in his awards category.

“We encourage our team to complete additional qualifications as part of our continuous professional development policy. Wesley is a shining example of this and recently completed his Diploma in Business and Commercial Banking & Conduct qualification from the London Institute of Banking & Finance; epitomising the “can do” attitude of BCRS,” concluded Paul.

BCRS Business Loans, established over 15 years ago, has a number of dedicated business loan funds in place to support growing SMEs across the Midlands. Offering loans from £10,000 to £150,000 to most market sectors, BCRS have lent £33 million to 1,077 businesses to date.

Not only has this benefitted local SMEs, but also the wider economy. BCRS’ lending has helped boost local employment with over 7,769 jobs either created or safeguarded to date, facilitating up to £60 million economic impact per year in the local economy.

This year, the ceremony will be held in Cardiff and features some brand new award categories. Organised and hosted by Citi Foundation and Responsible Finance, the awards celebrate the economic and social impact of Responsible Finance Providers on the people and places of Britain.

Paul concluded: “We look forward to sharing the results of the awards ceremony in March.”
