BCRS Business Loans has been awarded a prestigious code of good conduct for a second time.
BCRS Business Loans received confirmation from the European Commission that it has fulfilled a range of rigorous requirements to be awarded the European Code of Good Conduct for Microcredit Provision.
Back in 2017, BCRS became the first lender in the UK to be awarded the Code.
The Code was launched as a quality mark for individuals and businesses that are looking to access finance from reputable lenders. To be awarded the Code, which is valid for three years, each lender is assessed against 175 standards and ethical practices covering customer service, governance, credit management and management information.
Welcoming the news, BCRS’ chief executive Stephen Deakin, said:
“We are delighted to have been awarded the European Code of Good Conduct for a second time after passing an in-depth audit conducted a few months ago.
“This accolade is testament to the hard work and dedication of the whole team in ensuring our policies and procedures are robust, efficient and customer-orientated.
“As a non-profit distributing lender established in 2002, BCRS Business Loans believes in helping smaller businesses access the finance they need to grow and prosper and have always been committed to providing excellent customer service.
“BCRS offer loans from £10,000 to £150,000 to small businesses in the West Midlands that are unable to access finance from traditional lenders, such as banks.”
