BCRS Business Loans has raised just under £6,000 for its Charity of the Year, Kids’ Village, following its inaugural Charity Masquerade Ball and other fundraising activities throughout the year.
Held at Warwickshire Cricket Club’s Edgbaston Stadium on Friday 10th October, guests were treated to an evening of entertainment, networking and fundraising, all in aid of Kids’ Village charity.
To date, BCRS has raised just under £6,000 for Kids’ Village, exceeding its target of £3,000 with further fundraising activities planned for the remainder of the year.
Guests were treated to a three-course dinner, live performances by guitarist and singer Ed Cusick, and entertainment by magician Owen Strickland.
Kids’ Village Chief Executive Katrina Cooke was the guest speaker and provided guests with an overview of the charity’s strategic objectives and identified opportunities for further support and engagement.
Kids’ Village, located in Wychnor near Lichfield in Staffordshire, will establish the UK’s first purpose-built magical holiday village, providing respite facilities for up to 500 families affected by life with a child with critical illness a year.
Stephen Deakin, chief executive of BCRS Business Loans, commented:
“Our inaugural Charity Ball was a huge success. The funds raised represent a fantastic contribution to Kids’ Village’s important work. We remain committed to supporting the charity throughout the remainder of the year and wish to thank all of our guests for their generosity.”
Katrina Cooke, CEO at Kids’ Village said:
“Thank you so much to BCRS Business Loans for hosting such a fantastic Masquerade Ball. It was a wonderful opportunity to share the Kids’ Village story and raise vital funds to help build our vision. A heartfelt thank you to everyone who contributed on the night.”
