Regional business lender BCRS Business Loans is celebrating after achieving its second accolade in one month.

BCRS Business Loans broke its monthly lending record by delivering £1.1 million in April, making it the most successful month in the responsible finance provider’s 17-year history.

The co-operative lender, which supports the growth of West Midlands based businesses that are struggling to access finance from traditional lenders, surpassed its original target by 77 per cent.

Paul Kalinauckas, the chief executive of BCRS Business Loans, said he is delighted to share more excellent news.

He said: “After getting so close to the magic million on a number of occasions, we are really excited to have unlocked this achievement.

“This is the perfect way to start the new financial year, especially after such a successful end to the last one where we lent over £7.2 million.

“The real measure of our performance is how many businesses have secured the funding they need to grow and prosper. During April we supported 20 businesses who are now able to safeguard 50 jobs and are set to create 62 new jobs in the West Midlands.”
