Growth plans set out by a Wolverhampton based business specialising in cold rolled engineering solutions have been bolstered by local business lender, BCRS Business Loans.
MCRS Ltd, who provide custom roll forming, fabrication and bespoke engineering solutions, has recently started a new chapter in its 23-year existence as new directors and co-owners, Russell Eynon and Wayne Fletcher, aim to double turnover in the coming financial year with the help of funding from BCRS Business Loans.
“To help us accommodate new projects and customers, we required additional funding to invest in new tooling and to employ extra team members. One new starter is already in place and there are plans to employ an additional person before Christmas and an apprentice at the start of the new academic year” said Russell Eynon.
“We are incredibly proud of our Black Country roots and wanted to source alternative finance from a local lender. After looking at the options available to us, we then approached BCRS Business Loans as our preferred option.”
BCRS Business Loans provides loans from £10,000 to £150,000 for growing Midlands based businesses that are viable but unable to secure finance from traditional lenders, such as banks. As a not-for-profit lender, dedicated Business Loan Funds have been established to support local SMEs that will have a positive impact on the local economy, particularly by creating or safeguarding jobs.
Wayne Fletcher, co- owner and director of MCRS Ltd, added: “Russell and I set out on this project because we believe we have the skills and experience necessary to make MCRS Ltd even more successful. I have over 31 years’ experience in this sector – in production, design and sales – while Russell has over 15 years’ experience as an accountant and has also worked for two of the big players in this sector.
“The team at MCRS Ltd are incredibly experienced and, as an added bonus, the previous owner has agreed to share his knowledge and experience with us on a consultancy basis for the next two years.
“Ultimately we want to bring back the traditional customer service of years gone by, specifically by focussing on quality, reacting to customer needs and bringing back real customer support,” concluded Wayne.
Wesley Lovett, Business Development Manager for Wolverhampton, Walsall and Shropshire at BCRS Business Loans, said: “As a relationship based lender BCRS assess loan applications personally, looking at individual circumstances rather than computerised credit criteria.
“Russell and Wayne are very passionate about this company and have a great knowledge of their sector, which was clear to me and BCRS from the outset. It was their vision and passion, plus the wider team’s dedication to service, that really stood out to us as reasons to back them and provide loan funding,” concluded Wesley.
Paul Kalinauckas, Chief Executive of BCRS Business Loans, said: “We are proud to be a strong advocate for local businesses and work hard to bridge the funding gap for growing SMEs, as we realise how important they are in strengthening our economy and local communities. For us, no viable business should go unsupported.”
