An update from the Bank of England

We are delighted to announce April’s BCDC guest speaker as David Baumslag, who works in the Financial Stability, Strategy and Risk area of the Bank of England.

David will be taking the opportunity to demystify the annual stress tests that the Bank of England carry out on UK banks. He will highlight what the stress test is, why it is done and show that, despite their technical complexity, other businesses should consider running them too.

Prior to becoming a financial regulator, David was employed in the commercial sector with both multinationals and SMEs in the finance services and technology industries. He holds a BA from Cambridge University, an MBA from Rotterdam School of Management and a PhD from the University of Calgary.
