A Stoke-on-Trent business networking event hosted by BCRS Business Loans proved to be hit with professionals after attracting an impressive number of attendees at its April meet-up.
Pint after Work, which provides attendees with the chance to build professional relationships in a relaxed and friendly atmosphere, attracted over 30 business professionals on Thursday 7th April.
The event has become renowned for connecting business people from Stoke-on-Trent, and surrounding areas, over a complementary beverage courtesy of BCRS Business Loans. The not-for-profit lender, which provides business loans ranging from £10,000 to £150,000, believes that networking in an informal environment is conducive to really connecting with other attendees to build a fruitful professional relationship.
Held at the Stoke-on-Trent Moat House from 17:30 onwards, the event was hosted by Zoe Wilkinson, Business Development Manager at BCRS Business Loans. Supporting small and medium sized businesses across Staffordshire and Stoke-on-Trent, Zoe delivers funding from the Staffordshire and Stoke-on-Trent Business Loan Fund, run in partnership with Staffordshire County Council and Stoke-on-Trent City Council respectively.
Zoe Wilkinson said: “Firstly, I would like to thank everyone who came to Pint after Work. I was delighted to see so many people attend this event – it turned out exactly as I had hoped. Business professionals from a wide variety of sectors came together to network over a pint and enjoyed the informal atmosphere.
“We don’t ask you to make awkward elevator pitches or to follow a specific procedure, we simply provide an opportunity to mingle with local professionals and have a jovial evening – whether that involves talking about work or discussing last week’s sports results.
“I do hope that everyone took something useful away from this event, or perhaps a useful new contact and I look forward to seeing you at our next event,” concluded Zoe.
