The Chief Executive of BCRS Business Loans, Paul Kalinauckas, wins ‘Outstanding Leader Award’.

Celebrating over 14 years of leadership at one of the region’s largest providers of non-bank business loans, Mr Kalinauckas was handed the honour at an Awards Ceremony in Manchester, which played host to this year’s Responsible Finance Conference.

The Outstanding Leader Award was presented to Mr Kalinauckas in recognition of his contribution to establishing BCRS Business Loans in 2002 and, under his leadership, developing it into one of the largest, most successful alternative business lenders in the sector.

After the ceremony, Paul said: “I am over the moon at having won this award. It is incredibly humbling to be handed this accolade and I am extremely proud of the progression of BCRS Business Loans.

“As a founder member, the organisation was established with a clear objective in mind. We wanted to support the many small and medium sized businesses that were finding it difficult to source finance from traditional lenders. At that time, there weren’t many alternative finance providers available!

“BCRS Business Loans provide loans ranging from £10,000 to £150,000 to support the growth and prosperity of viable local businesses across the West Midlands. Offering a relationship-based approach to lending, BCRS issue loans to most sectors, including construction, engineering, manufacturing, the service industry, retail, wholesale and many more.

“Over 14 years later BCRS Business Loans has become an organisation lending in excess of £6 million per year and supporting businesses right across the West Midlands.

“The team at BCRS Business Loans now comprises of 15 people – each of whom are passionate about supporting the funding needs of local businesses and providing a friendly, relationship-based approach to lending. I would also like to take this opportunity to thank the team for their commitment and hard work in helping me transform BCRS into a leading organisation,” concluded Paul.
