BCRS Business Loans celebrated its 10th Anniversary by hosting a lunchtime Black Country Diners Club (BCDC) networking event which saw high profile members of the West Midlands’ business community gather to debate the future of a private sector led recovery.

The event took place at the Molineux Stadium, Waterloo Road in Wolverhampton, and offered over 70 guests the opportunity to hear from our guest speaker, Graeme Chaplin, West Midlands Agent for the Bank of England along with the success that BCRS has had to date.

BCRS first celebrated its 10th anniversary in April, after making £10 million worth of loans to small businesses and assisting its 400th customer in the Black Country and Staffordshire.

Founded as the Black Country Reinvestment Society in 2002, to provide finance to local businesses turned down by banks, it lends from £10,000 to £50,000, with the intention to extend the range further.

Paul Kalinauckas, BCRS Chief Executive said, “BCRS were delighted to be able to host the BCDC event. It was not only an opportunity for BCRS to celebrate our achievements but to also hear from Graeme Chaplin who discussed how the Bank’s network of twelve Agents across the UK, including himself in the West Midlands, gather the information each month and help make a direct and valuable contribution to the Bank’s Monetary Policy Committee to help businesses in the UK.

“The event was lively and engaging and addressed the hot topics that real Black Country business owners have to face every day. BCRS through the BCDC event are keen to bring business owners together for the benefit of the community and the region’s economy at these quarterly events”.
