Mae busnes yn Hirwaun, sy\u2019n darparu cymorth ymchwil a datblygu i gwmn\u00efau dyframaeth yn fyd-eang, yn dathlu ei 10fed<\/sup> ac mae bellach yn gallu edrych i\u2019r dyfodol ar \u00f4l derbyn pecyn cyllid gan Fenthyciadau Busnes BCRS drwy\u2019r gronfa Benthyciadau Busnes Llai, Cronfa Fuddsoddi i Gymru.<\/p>\n

Hyd at 2020, roedd Pontus Research, sydd wedi\u2019i leoli ar Yst\u00e2d Ddiwydiannol Hirwaun, wedi profi twf trwy gyllid dyled ar raddfa fach, a gyda\u2019r cwmni ar lwybr parhaus rhagamcanol ar i fyny, rhagwelwyd y byddai 2020 yn flwyddyn ganolog, gyda buddsoddi \u00a31.2 miliwn mewn prynu a datblygu eiddo gweithredu newydd a chyfleuster ymchwil. Fodd bynnag, tarodd y pandemig, a theimlwyd yr effeithiau ledled y diwydiant tan yn ddiweddar.<\/p>\n

Sefydliad ymchwil contract yw Pontus Research, sy'n darparu cymorth ymchwil a datblygu i gwmn\u00efau ledled y byd sy'n datblygu porthiant a chynhwysion porthiant ac ychwanegion ar gyfer dyframaethu. Mae'r Sylfaenydd a Phrif Swyddog Gweithredol, Jack James, yn esbonio:<\/strong>\u201cHyd at y pandemig roedd y busnes yn cyrraedd ei holl dargedau \u2013 roedden ni wedi codi \u00a31.2 miliwn o fuddsoddiadau ecwiti preifat, arian grant o Gronfa\u2019r M\u00f4r a Physgodfeydd Ewrop a chyllidwyr dyledion preifat a chyhoeddus. Fodd bynnag, daeth prynu\u2019r safle 2,600 metr sgw\u00e2r ynghyd ag adeilad 1,000 metr sgw\u00e2r, a\u2019r buddsoddiad dilynol, ar adeg na allai neb fod wedi\u2019i rhagweld, ac rydym wedi bod yn gweithio\u2019n galed i gael sefydlogwerydd byth ers hynny.<\/em><\/p>\n

\u201cYn ystod y flwyddyn ddiwethaf mae\u2019r darnau wedi bod yn ffitio i\u2019w lle yn araf deg, ond mae llif arian wedi parhau i fod yn broblem i ni. Yn syml, ychydig fisoedd yn \u00f4l doeddwn i ddim yn gallu gweld dyfodol agos lle\u2019r oedd y cwmni\u2019n ddigon iach i wirioneddol ddathlu ein carreg filltir ddeng mlynedd.\u201d <\/em><\/p>\n

Mae Jack wedi bod yn gweithio'n galed i amddiffyn y busnes, a'i 14 o weithwyr medrus a gwerthfawr iawn, tra hefyd yn gwireddu'r cyfleoedd ar gyfer twf. Argymhellwyd Jack i gysylltu \u00e2 BCRS Business Loans, un o dri rheolwr cronfa ar gyfer Cronfa Fuddsoddi Cymru.<\/p>\n

Bu Rheolwr Datblygu Busnes BCRS De Cymru, Graeme Lewis, yn gweithio\u2019n agos gyda Jack i sicrhau pecyn cyllid o \u00a380,000 gan Gronfa Fuddsoddi i Gymru, a lansiwyd gan Fanc Busnes Prydain ddiwedd 2023.<\/p>\n

Parhaodd Jack: <\/strong>\u201cRydyn ni\u2019n gwybod, wrth gael mynediad at yr ecwiti yn yr adeilad, ein bod ni\u2019n sicrhau dyfodol Pontus Research. Dywedodd profiad blaenorol o weithio gyda chyllidwyr wrthym y byddai hyn yn cymeryd amser, felly roedd gweithio gyda BCRS yn chwa o awyr iach - deliwyd \u00e2 phopeth mewn modd mor broffesiynol, ac roeddent yn gyflym i gymryd yr amser i ddeall y busnes. Ychwanegodd Jack: <\/strong>\u201cMae\u2019r derbyn y cyllid hwn, nawr , wedi bod yn bwysig iawn. Ochr yn ochr \u00e2 hyn, rydym yn datblygu \u00f4l troed yn Asia, ar \u00f4l agor canolfan yn Singap\u00f4r a gweithredu hynny\u2019n llwyddiannus am dros ddwy flynedd.<\/em><\/p>\n

Rydym wrth ein bodd bod y cyllid hwn wedi rhoi\u2019r byffer yr oedd ei angen ar Jack i ddiogelu ei fusnes.<\/em><\/p>\n

Ychwanegodd Bethan Bannister, Uwch Reolwr Buddsoddi, Cronfeydd y Gwledydd a\u2019r Rhanbarthau ym Manc Busnes Prydain: <\/strong>\u201cMae\u2019r Gronfa Fuddsoddi i Gymru gwerth \u00a3130m yno i gefnogi busnesau Cymru sydd ag uchelgeisiau twf i wireddu eu nodau. Roedd y pandemig wedi golygu bod Pontus Research wedi profi ambell i dwmpath ar hyd y ffordd, ond gyda chefnogaeth BCRS a Chronfa Fuddsoddi i Gymru mae ganddynt bellach lwybr clir ymlaen at raddfa a thyfu. Edrychwn ymlaen at weld eu llwyddiant parhaus.\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n

Mae\u2019r Cronfa Fuddsoddi I Gymru a gefnogir gan Fanc Busnes Prydain yn gweithredu ar draws Cymru gyfan ac mae\u2019n cynnwys amrywiaeth o opsiynau cyllid gyda benthyciadau o \u00a325,000 i \u00a32 filiwn a buddsoddiadau ecwiti hyd at \u00a35 miliwn i helpu busnesau bach a chanolig i ddechrau, cynyddu neu aros ar y blaen. Mae Benthyciadau Busnes BCRS yn rheoli'r rhan benthyciadau llai o'r gronfa (\u00a325,000 i \u00a3100,000). Bydd FW Capital yn gyfrifol am fenthyciadau mwy (\u00a3100,000 i \u00a32 filiwn) a Foresight fydd yn rheoli bargeinion ecwiti (hyd at \u00a35 miliwn).<\/p>\n

Mae Cronfa Fuddsoddi i Gymru yn helpu i gynyddu cyflenwad ac amrywiaeth cyllid cyfnod cynnar drwy ddarparu opsiynau i fusnesau llai na fyddent fel arall yn derbyn buddsoddiad. Mae'r cyllid wedi'i gynllunio i helpu busnesau gyda gweithgareddau gan gynnwys ehangu, arloesi cynnyrch neu wasanaeth, prosesau newydd, datblygu sgiliau ac offer cyfalaf.<\/p>\n

Ar \u00f4l gweithio gyda busnesau bach a chanolig nad ydynt yngallu cael gafael ar gyllid o ffynonellau traddodiadol yng Ngorllewin Canolbarth Lloegr ers 2002, mae Benthyciadau Busnes BCRS wedi ehangu i Gymru i helpu busnesau llai yno i ddatblygu a ffynnu dan y gronfa, a lansiwyd yn swyddogol yng Nghaerdydd ym mis Tachwedd.<\/p>\n

Ers sefydlu BCRS fel sefydliad ariannol datblygu cymunedol yn 2002, mae wedi darparu benthyciadau gwerth mwy na \u00a390 miliwn i fusnesau ar draws Gorllewin Canolbarth Lloegr a Chymru. Dangosodd adroddiad effaith gymdeithasol ar gyfer y flwyddyn ariannol ddiwethaf fod BCRS wedi benthyca \u00a35.8m i 72 o fusnesau, gan ddiogelu 675 o swyddi a chreu 186 o rolau, gan ychwanegu gwerth \u00a329.9m at economi Gorllewin Canolbarth Lloegr, y rhanbarthau cyfagos a Chymru.<\/p>","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
