HLS LOOK FORWARD TO A HEALTHY START IN 2015 THANKS TO LOAN FUND

A Cannock-based business that provides services to Doctors throughout the country has seen a healthy start to operations, thanks to the help they received from the Staffordshire Business Loan Fund.

Healthcare Licensing Support Ltd, established in 2014, received a loan from the fund which was specifically created to help Staffordshire based businesses that are unable to obtain finance from mainstream lenders. The loan they received was required to help with the purchase of new equipment along with the expansion of the organisation. The company provides appraisal, revalidation and Responsible Officer services to practising Doctors.

The Staffordshire Business Loan Fund is run in conjunction with Staffordshire County Council and managed by BCRS Business Loans. It is part financed by the European Regional development Fund and loans of £10,000 to £50,000 are made available to viable Staffordshire businesses.

Wendy Bailes, Managing Director, said, “Healthcare Licensing Support Ltd prides itself on providing a personalised experience for all Doctors  who are seeking verification of their medical professional suitability to practice.

“With a strong strategic vision for the future, a wealth of personal experience and financial assistance from the Staffordshire Loan Fund, making this vision a reality is incredibly exciting”.

Healthcare Licensing Support Ltd currently thrives under the care of highly experienced professionals. Of the two Directors, Wendy Bailes previously had a career in the NHS spanning 24 years, allowing her to acquire extensive knowledge of working on the revalidation and enhanced appraisal process. David Bowden, Responsible Officer, is a successful A&E Consultant specialising in the improvement of the four-hour targets for patients in A&E and has proven to be instrumental in transforming his current organisation’s position from the bottom quartile to the top. David holds a total of 34 years’ NHS experience.

Paul Kalinauckas, Chief Executive of BCRS, said: “We work hard in order to identify needs of the Staffordshire business population and how we can deliver services at a local level. As a business fund, BCRS has a more flexible approach to lending. We look at the business and the people running it first, because our security is the quality of the operation itself”.

Staffordshire County Council’s economy leader Mark Winnington said: “This is another good example of how the fund is making a real difference to Staffordshire businesses and the wider economy. Healthcare Licensing Support Ltd offers an invaluable service to medical practitioners, which is good news for us all. It demonstrates the diversity of the businesses which have benefited from the fund and how it is boosting a range of sectors. The company has achieved real success in a short pace of time and is looking to create more jobs in Staffordshire. We’re pleased the fund has played a part in the company’s progression.”

Healthcare Licensing Support Ltd is thoroughly committed to taking the brand even further and continuing to help the local economy through potential employment opportunities.

Julie Bullock, Operations Director said, “When we need to recruit, there’s a pool of skilled people here right on our doorstep in Staffordshire. With the help from the Staffordshire Business Loan fund – this could be sooner than we thought. Thanks to the efficient, straight forward process that we were offered from the loan fund we have been able to continue working on our day to day operations and focus on expansion knowing that the finance element is in good hands.”
