FAQ
Who can apply for a loan?
The loans are available to any form of business from Sole Traders to Limited Companies
How long can I have the loan over?
This depends on what the funds will be used for. If it is for a capital asset it would be for less than the useful life of that asset. If it is for cash flow then we will try and tailor our loan with regard to the projected cash generation of the business.
How much do I have to put towards the project?
There is no specific amount we would expect to see, however, we would expect the applicant to be fully committed to the project.
Is security required?
We take security wherever we can but some of our loans are unsecured. Each case is assessed on its own merits.
Are there any charges if I repay early?
No.
How much can I borrow?
The minimum loan is £10,000 and the maximum is £50,000.
Are any sectors excluded ?
Yes - unfortunately due to restrictions imposed by our funders we are unable to provide finance for retail shops or property developers.
How do I apply?
Easy! Just complete the information on the "Apply online" and fill the form and click submit.
What is the process?
Once a full application is received one of our Loan Managers will assess the case. If further information is required before progressing then the client will be advised as soon as possible. At the next stage the Loan Manager will interview the client to get a full understanding of the applicant and the business. The assesment process should be completed within 28 days.
“We approached BCRS and HSBC because we knew we needed some financial security in order to expand – the orders were there but we needed financial flexibility to honour them and the injection of £50,000 will secure this. I’m really grateful to BCRS and HSBC, not least for the speed in which they made the decision to loan to us. The future is looking very positive indeed.”
